I don't claim to be an expert fisherman ... just a guy who loves to fish and has been blessed for his efforts. I learned a long time ago that in fishing, and in much of life, you get out of it what you put into it. I work hard when fishing, I study a lot, and always try to learn something on every outing. I hope you can use the information I post on this blog to learn something as well. Thanks for following along!

Fished with Eric and Andy today in MLW. Started slow in the Marina ... then went to the discharge and slaughtered the steelies. Went about 30 for 50. All on spawn, most under floats.

November 14, 2009 - SHE

Fished with Tim, Troy, and Scott (Walleyewackr). Scott got 2 nice hen steelies. I had one good bite, one light bite, and caught one decent northern. That was it. Water was clear, wind was strong out of the south, air temps in low 50's. Gate to the docks was open ... fish caught on the end of row 1 in the corner on Chartruese spawn on floats.

November 3, 2009 - RAC

Fished with Collin again. I got there early (6:00 a.m) and caught one decent Brown (green and gold Cleo) with a deformed mouth. Had 2 other hits. Collin came and we didn't get another bite all day. Floated spawn for 14 hours and never had a tick! Did see Dean catch this beautiful brown! River was high and muddy. Harbor looked good but there weren't many fish in it. Need some coooooold weather to get the Browns and Steelies in.
