I don't claim to be an expert fisherman ... just a guy who loves to fish and has been blessed for his efforts. I learned a long time ago that in fishing, and in much of life, you get out of it what you put into it. I work hard when fishing, I study a lot, and always try to learn something on every outing. That didn't take too long

Picked up this 41" this morning at 5:15. I thought I'd beat the crowd out and was on the water already at 4:00 am. Gorgeous morning ... no breeze at all. A lot of "bloom" in the water. I literally could not see my baits in the figure 8 at times. This guy hit right before I went into the figure 8 in about 7' of water.

MIA?????

Sorry for not being around. I just haven't been out much and don't have much to report. I can tell you that I'm planning to put in some serious time this weekend chasing muskies. I've been getting my boat rigged up for trolling and plan to pound a couple of shelves/drop-offs tomorrow that just HAVE to be holding fish. If the water temps rise a few more degrees in the forecasted heat ... HELLO suspended muskies! I'll be trolling a lot of cranks and pumping bulldawgs starting at about 4:00 am tomorrow. Can't wait!
