I don't claim to be an expert fisherman ... just a guy who loves to fish and has been blessed for his efforts. I learned a long time ago that in fishing, and in much of life, you get out of it what you put into it. I work hard when fishing, I study a lot, and always try to learn something on every outing. I hope you can use the information I post on this blog to learn something as well. Thanks for following along!

Otherwise known as "Lil' Buddy's Scotch Ale". It is in the boiling pot!

  1. Hey Todd
Do you grind your own grain or use liquid or powdered malt?

  2. I use a liquid malt extract, John. I'm doing a lot of reading and brewing trying to figure this out. So far, so good. Both of my first batches turned out really well. Home brew is soooo much tastier and smoother!

  3. Instead of using corn sugar for the secondary fermentation in the bottle, try using powdered malt. It's more expensive but gives a better finish and a richer flavor.

  4. Thanks, John. I'll give that a try with this batch. Happy Easter to you as well!
