I don't claim to be an expert fisherman ... just a guy who loves to fish and has been blessed for his efforts. I learned a long time ago that in fishing, and in much of life, you get out of it what you put into it. I work hard when fishing, I study a lot, and always try to learn something on every outing. I hope you can use the information I post on this blog to learn something as well. Thanks for following along!

Meet the Author

I grew up with a fishing pole in my hand ... literally! Some of my fondest childhood memories are fishing up at "the cottage" in northern Wisconsin, fishing the sloughs of the Wisconsin River near my home town of Wausau, WI, and ice fishing lakes throughout God's Country!

After college and a bit of a scenic journey through life I find myself living in one of America's great mid-sized cities ... Madison, WI (OK, I actually live in McFarland, WI, but ... close enough!) Now, my two favorite fishing holes are the harbors of Lake Michigan (2 hours away) and the shorelines of the Madison area lakes.

I'm married to the best wife in the world (Tracy), who puts up with my fishing addiction, and have two grown children ... Andy (who needs to get more time off to fish with me) and Erin (who needs to get over "fish are gross!").  I've been blessed to have an amazing career (yes, I actually work sometimes!) working with amazing people serving amazing students and friends!
