I don't claim to be an expert fisherman ... just a guy who loves to fish and has been blessed for his efforts. I learned a long time ago that in fishing, and in much of life, you get out of it what you put into it. I work hard when fishing, I study a lot, and always try to learn something on every outing. Last trip with the long rods?

Fished in the rain all morning Saturday in a new spot. I had never been their before and needed to do some exploring, but it was WELL worth the time and effort. Found 3 holes and a pile of fish! Went 3 for 7 with about 15 to 18 take downs. The steelies were all chrome ... looked like they came straight from the lake that morning. They had to be hauling ... I was a long way from the lake!
