Brown Bite is On!

Had a hard time finding active steelhead in the rivers this weekend because the water was really muddy. Went in search of browns with my buddies and hammered them for about 1 1/2 hours. Found them chasing baitfish up high in the water column so we adapted our presentation (darter head jigs and gulp tails) and they just went nuts. Had over 40 fish on in that times period and we each kept a few hens for eggs and to share with friends.

Also re-learned the lesson about trusting fishing reports from other people ... Sometimes it's not just the fish that smell!
