I don't claim to be an expert fisherman ... just a guy who loves to fish and has been blessed for his efforts. I learned a long time ago that in fishing, and in much of life, you get out of it what you put into it. I work hard when fishing, I study a lot, and always try to learn something on every outing. I hope you can use the information I post on this blog to learn something as well. Thanks for following along!

Slow but Steady

The harbors and rivers are finally freezing over and some anglers are wandering out. My last time out was a week ago and I wasn't convinced it was safe yet so I stayed on the docks in the marina and dropped lines from rods in Auto Fisherman through holes next to the docks. I've been fishing with my buddy Bob the last few weeks, teaching him the few things I know about trout through the ice. He's been doing well! :)

  1. Those are some tanks! I have always wanted to try Browns and Steelies through the ice. Looks like a gas!
