I don't claim to be an expert fisherman ... just a guy who loves to fish and has been blessed for his efforts. I learned a long time ago that in fishing, and in much of life, you get out of it what you put into it. I work hard when fishing, I study a lot, and always try to learn something on every outing. I hope you can use the information I post on this blog to learn something as well. Thanks for following along!

Just Typical ...
Spent last evening on Mendota again, but the wind kept me from my normal spot. I was forced to fish the west shore and I'd never been over there before. I looked for deep weed edges and started drop-shotting and floating leeches. I didn't take long to figure out that I was on to something.
Ended the night with about 20 smallies to 18", 3 walleyes to 23" and a 32" cat. There was nobody else fishing within 1/4 mile of me. This lake is absolutely LOADED with fish!
