I don't claim to be an expert fisherman ... just a guy who loves to fish and has been blessed for his efforts. I learned a long time ago that in fishing, and in much of life, you get out of it what you put into it. I work hard when fishing, I study a lot, and always try to learn something on every outing. I hope you can use the information I post on this blog to learn something as well. Thanks for following along!

Off and On Night
Got out on Mendota yesterday at about 3:00. Really struggled to find decent fish on the rock humps. Trolled harnesses for a while and picked up my first walleye (18") on one of my own harnesses out in about 35' of water.
Later moved to a weed edge and hammered the smallies. BIG fish picked up about 8:00 with a 20.5" coming in the dark at 8:20. The were real aggressive on a 4" chartreuse Gulp Minnow on the drop sot! Even picked up a chunky 12" perch on a leech.
